I do not have any information of the specific ancestors of William Boyd in Scotland except that they originated in Scotland. I do know that Sir Thomas Boyd, the son of Lord Kilmarnock, recieved a grant of 1500 acres in Ulster as part of the Ulster Plantation in 1610. However, his lands were in Tyrone, not Antrim.
